Born: March 19, 1953, in Moricetown B.C.
Adopted by Mikh Lalïs (Marion Alec), Dzï Ggot(Rosalie Austin) and Ggac’lh(Philip Austin) at birth.
Lived in Bulkley Canyon learning survival skills until 1959.
Moved to Ts’ë Cikh to go to school and learn English,
1960, attended St. Mary’s Catholic school, New Hazelton, B.C., first experience with Visual Art.
Sggileygit, given first Chief name in Moricetown, 1961.
1968, Attended Mount Newton Jr. Sec. Sannich, B,C.
1969, attended Reynolds Seondary School, Victoria, B.C,
Summer of 1969, lived and commercial fished with Nuchatnulh Nation, Queens Cove, B.C. and Ahousat, B.C.
1970, attended Quamichan Jr. Sec. School. Duncan, B.C.
Lived with the Salish Nation, in Cowichan.
1973, graduated from Cowichan Senior Secondary School. Lived with the Cowichan people for another year, employed as a Logger.
1974, attended Ksan School of North Westcoast Indian Art.
1976, lived with the Stalo Nation and practised Indian Art. Chehalis, B.C. Married Amanda Mowitch, from Stalo Nation.
1977, attended Fraser Valley College University for four years.
1989, moved back to Tsë Kikh.
1993 Employed by Gitksan – Wet’suwet’en Hereditary Chiefs, trained as Aboriginal Fishery Officer. Worked with Wet’suwet’en Chiefs to this date.
