Administration
The Office of the Wet'suwet'en's Administration Department is responsible for developing and implementing financial systems and procedures to ensure financial accountability to the Hereditary Chiefs, our membership and funding agencies. This includes: * Ensuring financial records are maintained following GAAP * Ensuring program budgets are developed according to negotiated mandates * Ensuring effective budgetary control * Ensuring organizational financial objectives are met The department has developed policy guidelines for administration; clear roles and responsibilities of administrative staff; a tax strategy to undertake economic activity; and financial strategic plans.
